American Students Choose Volunteer Projects, over Beach Vacations

Thousands of US college students are taking a week or two of vacation from school work to do volunteer projects around the country. While some students relax at the beach, these volunteers will clean up national parks, tutor immigrant children or help homeless people. In Miami, VOA’s Brian Wagner met some students using their vacations for on the job experiences.
