Flights to Glasgow

Glasgow is a wonderful city if you are looking for some culture, for this city boasts Bellahouston Park and Pollock Country Park.  This may not mean very much to most but both are the home of fine art collections; Renee Mackintosh House, for an art lover being in the former, and in the latter the wonderful Burrell Collection.

The parks are situated on the south side of the River Clyde, a residential area characterised by leafy avenues and attractive houses.  Although a bit out of the city centre, a network of buses and underground trains make travel across and around this city cheap and simple.

As well as all the sights to be seen within the city, Glasgow is a great place to base yourself if you wish to tour nearby Loch Lomond and The Trossachs, two areas of outstanding natural beauty; areas of lochs, mountains and forests.

Travelling to Glasgow is very easy with dozens of flights to Glasgow landing daily.  All the major airlines fly into the airport as well as Prestwick Airport, about half an hour south of the city.  Prestwick Airport has a rail service that runs to Central Station in the centre of Glasgow, while Glasgow Airport has a bus service running into the city centre every 10 minutes.

Cheap flights can be found by checking comparison websites or by visiting the websites of the popular carriers; British Airways, Bmi, Bmibaby, EasyJet and Flybe.
